Singapore's government supports businesses that invest in automation and digital upgrades. The scheme is now called the EDGE Grant, run by EnterpriseSG. Here is what it means for an SME planning an AI project. Check EnterpriseSG's official pages for the latest terms before you apply.
The Key Facts
Up to 70% for SMEs
Up to 50% for non-SMEs. The level depends on the activity you choose.
Up to S$100,000 a year
Total grant support per year across all EDGE activities. A smaller cap applies to some digital and automation activities.
Replaces EDG and PSG
EDGE opened for new business-grant applications on 30 September 2026.
Who Can Apply
Your business needs to be registered in Singapore, with at least 30% Singaporean and/or Singapore PR ownership, and you must be starting a new project to upgrade capabilities, improve efficiency or expand overseas. Other conditions depend on the activity you select.

Decide what the project must achieve, such as faster replies, fewer no-shows or more leads.

Use EnterpriseSG's EDGE page or the BizSG recommender to find the matching activity.
Check vendor rules
Some activities need a pre-approved vendor. Others let you choose your own.
Apply before you start
Apply through the Business Grants Portal. Do not commit costs first.
Do the work, then claim
Support is reimbursed after the activity is completed and fully paid for.

Changing vendors later. After you apply you cannot change vendors without starting a new application.
